CSSM, the Civil Society Support Mechanism (MASC, Mecanismo de Apoio à Sociedade Civil) aims to improve governance and accountability for ordinary Mozambican citizens through strengthening and diversifying the engagement of Mozambican Civil Society Organisations with monitoring and advocacy on governance.

KULA and ACS implementing baseline study for MASC

27 March 2008: KULA Estudos e Pesquisas Aplicadas Lda and ACS (Advocacia, Consultores e Serviços Lda) won the bid for the implementation of the MASC baseline study. The study will be incorporated in the Monitoring and Evaluation system of MASC, and serve as the starting point for the measurement of progress related to MASC objectives and impact, such as change in governance in Mozambique in general, and specifically the engagement of Civil Society in the area of advocacy and monitoring of governance.

Application forms now available

MASC invites all relevant Civil Society Organisations to apply for grants and/or capacity development support, in order to implement new innovative projects in the area of monitoring and advocacy for good governance. See links below to download the application forms. NB! Deadline for submitting proposals to the first bidding round is 31 march 2010.
